Ploiesti Jazz Festival, one of the most important cultural manifestations of the season, is waiting for you between October 26-30, 2022 with a series of exceptional concerts and a multitude of well known guests.

The event will start on Wednesday, October 26th, with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Ploiești Philharmonic featuring Ploiesti Jazz Trio (Răzvan Cojanu bass, Sorin Zlat piano, Laurențiu Ștefan drums), under the wand of Simona Strungaru and with Sebastian Burneci, trumpet, as a soloist.

The second day of the festival, October 27th, will star Nicolas Simion Quartet (Antonis Anissegos piano, Oliver Lutz e-bass, Benjamin Henocq drums, Nicolas Simion sax) and the National Jazz Orchestra of France , under the artistic direction of Frédéric Maurin.

On Friday, October 28th, you can enjoy the sound of Maria João Quartet (Maria João voice, Mário Laginha piano, António Quintino bass, Alexandre Frazão drums) and Benito Gonzales Trio (Benito Gonzalez piano, Jeff „Tain” Watts drums, Will Stater bass).

Kristin Asbjørnsen Trio (Kristin Asbjørnsen voice, Olav Torget guitars, Suntou Susso kora), with the project „Traces of you”, and Romain Pilon Trio (Romain Pilon guitar, Jason Brown drums, Géraud Portal bass) will greet you on Saturday, October 29th.

The 17th edition of Ploiești Jazz Festival will end on Sunday, October 30th, with „By the sea of Galilee”, a Daphna Levy project (Daphna Levy voice, Tamir Miller piano, Leon Habib drums, Răzvan Cojanu bass), and the festival headliner, Joris Teepe’s Trio of Liberty (Joris Teepe bass, Owen Hart Jr. drums, Don Braden sax).
